Talented students raised funds which have been donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Brooke Weston students took part in an X-factor style talent show earlier in the year and a total of £375 was raised from ticket and refreshment sales. The event, entitled the BW Factor, was organised and supported by Parents in Partnership and its chairman, Donna Davis is pictured with the cheque before it was sent off to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Students took part in auditions and 14 acts were selected for the show which was open to students, staff and parents.
Mrs Davis, who is also a governor at Brooke Weston, said: 'It was a really good event. The students had a fantastic time and the ones who didn't actually get through the auditions came along to support those who did.'
The talent show, which was eventually won by Year 10 student, Katie Parker, proved such a success that it should be repeated this academic year.
