Oundle Festival
Brooke Weston students performed well at a recent drama festival. Year 10 students, Stacey-Leigh Geoghegan, Giselle Gelipter, Bethany York and Sam Hiner paired up to perform duologues from the play Two by Jim Cartwright.
Sam and Bethany played the role of landlord and landlady while Giselle and Stacey-Leigh portrayed old and young women. Each piece lasted around five minutes.
For three of the four it was the first time they had performed in public although Bethany, who attends Eclipse Performing Arts has already taken part in shows like 42nd Street.
Teacher, Miss Kurek who had entered the students into the Oundle Festival of Music and Dance said; ÔThe students performed really well and they came second and third out of five teams taking part. The whole festival is well attended by schools from Peterborough and Northamptonshire. ItÕs really all about encouraging creativity and celebrating studentsÕ talents.
