Parents in Partnership raised over £400 which has been donated to the Lakelands Hospice. The money was raised by selling home-made cakes and refreshments to parents on the morning of the new intake assessment in November. Thanks go to the band of willing helpers that make up Parents in Partnership for all the work they do supporting College events throughout the year.

Parents' in Partnership are hoping their latest fund-raising venture will really take off. The plan is to sell hundreds of balloons at £2 each which will be released on the night of the Year 13 ball next week. Each will have a label with the owner's name on it and the one that is returned from the furthest point will win £100.

Chairman of Parents in Partnership, Donna Davis, hopes to sell and launch around 400 balloons, but if staff and students really get behind the project that that figure could rise to over a thousand which would really make for a stunning sight. Balloons can be bought from the reception desk near the finance office.

Parents in Partnership support the College in various ways, by making refreshments during parents' evenings, conducting mock interviews with sixth formers and carrying out fund raising events through the year. Money raised is ploughed back into providing better facilities at Brooke Weston.
