Introduction

Minutes of Co-ordinating Committee Meeting of Brooke Weston CTC Parents in Partnership held 18th August 2003 at Brooke Weston CTC

Present:

Sponsored Walk

Gerry was unsure how much money this had made, but thought it was probably just over £300 plus the raffle. Sandy said the raffle was over £90. It was agreed that it would be better to hold the walk earlier next year, perhaps April, and more volunteers were required for marshalling.

Mock Interviews

Gerry said these had gone really well and letters had gone out from the School to thank volunteers.

Website

Gerry explained that the students were still working on the website and would be in touch in due course.

Barbecue

It was agreed that unless the response improved over the next few days this would have to be cancelled. Gerry will liaise with Colleen.

New Year 7's Evening

This will be held on 17th September 2003 and PIP will have a display and include information about the Quiz Evening. Lorna, Donna and Carol will man the display.

Quiz

This will be held on 4th October 2003 at 7 p.m. and Lynn will need to know numbers for the lady doing the quiz. We shall also hold a raffle.

Prize Giving

This will be held on 9th September 2003 and twenty nominations were received for the PIP prize. After some discussion, it was agreed that it should be awarded to Seb Williams-Leer.

Year 13 Parents' Evening

It was agreed that we only need to do refreshments from 6.15-7.15 p.m. and Colleen will arrange for volunteers.

AGM

This will be held on 6th October at 7 p.m. Donna will speak to Alex about auditing the accounts. Colleen said she was unable to attend, but would be happy to continue as Volunteer Secretary.
