Performing, "Seasons of Love".
A one-night only performance of classic songs proved a massive success and highlighted our students' musical talents. There was something for all musical tastes in the Stage and Screen showcase, from vocal to instrumental pieces and classics from Porgy and Bess were performed alongside newer compositions, like the Harry Potter theme.
The event, which lasted over an hour, was compered by Mr Robert Nicholls and the choir, jazz band, saxophone, flute and clarinet choirs all took part. Special mention must go to the concert band as they were performing for the first time and many students were beginners.
The music department, which had been preparing for the event for many weeks was delighted with the performances, especially the singing as it demonstrated the coaching of our recently appointed singing teacher, David Morris.
Head of Music, Miss Amelia Cole said: 'The music department are so proud of all the students who took part. They have spent many a night working till late to produce such a high quality performance.'
