Mr Gray's Assembly
Top marks must go to teacher, Matt Gray for going above and beyond the call of duty when he takes assembly. He has looked at the development of special effects in the film industry, and, more recently, has exposed how the fashion and beauty industry manufacture perfect images.
His first assembly, which was filmed around the College took six months to film and adapt. Using just a camera, tripod and blue screen he filmed the bulk of the film and then used programes such as Adobe After Effects to add special effects such as flight simulation and colour changes.
Is it a bird? Is it a Plane? No it's Mr Clarke
His latest assembly, on how media images of women are totally manufactured and false, took a week to film and Mr Gray used Adobe Premier Elements to add the special effects. Mr Gray said: 'I got the idea as I saw some College students who did some fantastic light sabre effects and I wanted to have a go. Now I'm looking for inspiration for my next assembly!'
