Charlie Mawby, Aaron Davies and Ross Knox
Students, Charlie Mawby, Aaron Davies, Ross Knox and Ben Johnson have all completed an Football Association coaching course, along with teacher, Stephanie Gonda, and they are now training students at Brooke Weston.
The tuition, which covered basic coaching skills, first aid and child protection issues took place over three days at Moulton College, Northampton.
Ross said: 'It was an FA level one coaching course. Basically it involves coaching children from a young age up to 16 years old.'
Charlie, Aaron, Ross and Ben, who are all in Year 12, strongly recommend the course, which involved a lot of practical and theory work, but no essay writing!
Now they are practising their coaching skills on the astroturf after school on Mondays where they put the girls squad through their paces. The qualification means they are also eligible to go and coach in America where 'soccer' is becoming increasingly popular since David Beckham's arrival with the LA Galaxy team.
