The Well-reads reading group have continued to meet regularly and discuss and review the books they have enjoyed (or not as is sometimes the case) and we will be taking part in the schools book quiz later on next term at a venue in Northamptonshire as well as getting the chance to meet the author Malorie Blackman at 'An Evening with Malorie Blackman' taking place at Hunsbury Library on 29th November. Anyone in Year 7, 8 or 9 wishing to join the group is very welcome. We meet every other Thursday throughout the term (in tutor time) with our next meeting on 3rd November.

We launched a new format of 6th Form inductions designed to help those going into Year 12. The inductions, which last for a lesson, incorporate a reminder of the services the Library has to offer, a tutorial on the use of the online catalogue, including how to search, reserve and review books/resources and how to check the borrower's account, as well as an introduction to compiling references and bibliographies for study purposes. All of the inductions were completed by students filling in feedback sheets on the induction and the Library in general. The feedback was very positive and all Year 12 students will receive an email informing them of the points raised and action taken to make improvements. Later this year we will be conducting some research on how to provide an even better induction for 6th formers with the recommendations being implemented next year.
