Where is the Library situated?
The Library is situated in a purpose-built annexe in the downstairs purple block.
When can I use the Library?
At any time during the school day and after school.
The Library is available for private study and research using both printed and electronic resources.
What will I find in the Library?
Besides a wide range of books, both fiction and non-fiction you will find:
- Magazines / periodicals
- Newspapers
- Computers
- Books on tape
- Videos
- CD ROMs
- Fact files and an internet connection - plus lots more!
- Laser Discs Film Archive (Available from Audio/visual)
- Audio CDs
- Online subscriptions (see Librarian for passwords/user names)
How can I find out what the Library has?
The Librarian will help you with any enquiries and the Library has a computerised Library catalogue (Access-It) which is available to staff and students. There is a tutorial on the Library website that explains in more detail how to use this.
The Library is arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme and is colour coded. There are guides and posters to help you to understand this.
