Parents in Partnership
Parents in Partnership chairman, Donna Davis, arranges flowers for the Year 11 Prom.
Parents in Partnership is a group of parents who generously give their time and talents to benefit the College. Comprising a handful of willing parents, they serve refreshments at College functions, give 'mock' interviews to Sixth Form students and organise fund raising events such as the balloon race which was held during the 2005/6 academic year. Parents in Partnership is always keen to welcome new members onto their team to help out in this valuable work and Chairman, Donna Davis has also been elected as a parent governor to serve for a three year term, further cementing the essential role that exists between parents and the College. For further information Donna can be contacted on 01536 373601.

Local School Liaison
The College was proud to be among the first cohort of Leading Edge Schools in the country and, as such, it offers advice, consultancy and training to other schools both locally and nationally. At present we are developing a series of projects; a literacy scheme to support students across Corby, a training programme for newly qualified teachers in Corby and development of a Corby Virtual Learning Platform to support the delivery of vocational teaching materials.
Corby CTC Trading and @tain
The @tain team with one of the new minibuses they have supplied.
Brooke Weston's trading arm, Corby CTC Trading Ltd hires out the College facilities for community users and incorporates '@tain', which develops a range of successful ICT based learning resources which are marketed to schools nationally. In use by well over 150 schools nationwide these materials are making a real contribution to raising standards across the country. Profits from Corby CTC Trading are used to boost resources at Brooke Weston. Most recently this has included the purchase of two new minibuses in autumn 2006. The 17-seater Ford Transit based vehicles are a welcome addition, replacing the College's previous vehicles which have been well used since 1997.
Mrs Christine Stewart, Commercial Director of Corby CTC Trading said, 'Each year our profits are ploughed back into the College to provide extra facilities or enhance existing ones. The replacement minibuses will be much appreciated by staff and students alike as they will be used daily. This is just one in a series of improvements that Corby CTC Trading Ltd has funded; last year the Astroturf was replaced and previously our profits have helped in the refurbishment of the art and science departments as well as replacing ICT hardware.'
